Nevada Today story: Machine learning project funded to enhance geothermal exploration in Nevada
After the successful geothermal play fairway project found two new geothermal systems in Nevada, the Department of Energy awarded GBCGE-NBMG researcher Dr. Jim Faulds a major new grant to investigate the use of machine-learning to make the exploration process even more effective. This machine learning project is hopefully the first phase of a long-term, multi-phase program. This first phase is funded at $500,000.
