The GBCGE Subsurface Database Explorer is an interactive web mapping application that provides public access to the GBCGE Subsurface Database, and its collection of datasets pertinent to geothermal exploration, oil and gas exploration, critical mineral exploration, and other subsurface characterization for the Great Basin Region, western US.

Nevada Geothermal Machine Learning project
In this project, we are aiming to apply machine learning (ML) techniques to develop an algorithmic approach for identifying new geothermal systems in the Great Basin region.
Hyperspectral Characterization
In this project, we are evaluating hyperspectral imaging of geothermal drill core and cuttings for geothermal reservoir characterization in the Great Basin region.
Geophysical Imaging at Steptoe Valley, Nevada
In this project, we are aiming to understand the permeability and thermal characteristics of a sedimentary-hosted (i.e., stratigraphic) geothermal system in Steptoe Valley, Nevada.
International Geothermal Capacity-Building
In this project, training, education and collaborative research are being used to strengthen the institutional geothermal capacity in foreign countries.
